The plant is herb. Stem is green, pale purple.
Leaves are thick, fleshy, succulent, ovate oblong, serrate along margin,
cordate at base. Leaves, if crushed emit very strong and pleasant aroma of
Jeera or Ajwain. The flowers are produced in terminal raceme. Flowers blue to
lavender, two lipped corolla.
