Native to Australia, this plant is appreciated for
its unique bottlebrush-like flower spikes and its ability to attract
pollinators like birds and insects.
It is a medium sized evergreen tree. Branches are
drooping, bark is vertically fissured, grey coloured. Leaves lanceolate,
glossy, dark green, gathered at branches apices. Flowers are arranged in
cylindrical spikes. Flowers are bright crimson red coloured, rich in nectar,
attract birds and insects.
